Personal development and self-awareness are an ongoing process. We know this, yet sometimes we’re too busy or tired to consider what’s new and exciting!
'Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.’ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emerson’s quote speaks volumes. So, before sharing a few journalling prompts to help you wonder and ponder, let me share some of my growth achievements to help with your inspiration.
Growth achievement #1
I recently completed 43 miles of the Snowdonia Slate Trail. Wales’s most prominent mountain, Snowdonia, draws in the crowds, but this trail had even more going for it. A path of ghostly hills, ethereal rivers, mesmerising waterfalls, formidable slate mountains peppered with isolated ruins, eerie lakes and reservoirs, cushioned forests and hurty, hurty limbs! What an adventure 😀
Growth achievement #2
I have been grateful spent a recent weekend celebrating a close friend’s milestone birthday with a bunch of beautiful souls at a Mana Empowerment event – and I learnt a thing or two.
- Sound baths are incredibly relaxing
- Handmade craft sessions fly by
- Walking on hot coals doesn’t scare me
- Arrow snapping is awesomely empowering
- Kundalini Tao is soothing and energising at the same time.
Be brave. Be daring. Be adventurous – in your way.
Writing – Words for Wellness
An excellent way to stay motivated and on track is to embrace and celebrate successes. Achieving objectives is more conscious and stronger when successes are celebrated, regardless of their scale – and your self-esteem benefits from a massive boost!
Acknowledging accomplishments and exploring in your journal how you feel and what comes next is just as powerful as sharing successes, raising a glass to victory or enjoying a treat.
